Scrapbooking Giveaway Day!
This weekend, one commenter will win a gorgeous flower cabochon ring (in a colour from the available choice) from Josephines jewellery.
I asked Josephine to tell us a little about her shop and she said: “I have been making jewellery for many years now and have sold lots of my pieces to friends and boutique shops. I love making jewellery with a passion, you could say I have a love affair with vintage jewellery! I love strings of pearls, cameos, vintage buttons, rhinestone encrusted pieces, vintage lace, Victorian jewellery, wire, brass, copper, charms, crystals and gems! I love mixing old and new and everything from my shop comes wrapped up in decadent lace ribbons and couture tags for that extra luxurious touch!”
Other items we love from Josephine’s store are her gorgeous birdcage necklace and this rather beautiful swooping bird necklace
To enter, just leave a comment on this post. If you could chose any time period in which to live, which would it be?
Entries close at midnight Sunday UK time and the winner will be posted Monday evening, so be sure to check back to see if it’s your lucky day!
Good luck!

I don’t think I want to live in any other time period. If I had, I wouldn’t have any kids and probably wouldn’t be here now. So, I am so thankful to live in this modern age with the medical technology and intelligence that we have. Thanks for the chance to win such beautiful jewelry!
8 July 2011, 14:31
I would love to experience the 60 and 70 how my parents did. The jewellery is beautiful
x
8 July 2011, 14:39
The 80’s as an adult….love the clothes!
8 July 2011, 14:39
I would love to experience the Victorian period. I love the architecture as well as the elegance.
8 July 2011, 14:44
I would love to visit the Elizabethan era as it has always fascinated me or the Romans – but would want to come back to my creature comforts quite quickly :0)
8 July 2011, 14:50
I love all things to do with Tudor history so would love to go back to Tudor times especially the court of Henry VIII. I really don’t think I would be Henry’s type so I wouldn’t have to fear that I might end up on the chopping block. I would only want to do a short visit though as I would miss all my home comforts too much.
8 July 2011, 14:51
I love the medieval period but would like to skip all the medical problems they had.
8 July 2011, 14:59
Oh, to go back to the 1930’s – the birth of the movies and the opportunity to witness the golden age of Broadway – to see a young Ethel Merman blow the roof off with “I Got Rhythm” would be bliss.
8 July 2011, 15:00
I would go back to a time where life was more simple—no specific time period… Thanks! I love cabochons!
8 July 2011, 15:03
Oh, wow – aren’t those gorgeous?! :)
Me, I’m happy being in the here and now – I wouldn’t mind a spot of time travel for a visit, but just like when I go away on holiday, I like coming home!
8 July 2011, 15:14
I think it’d be interesting to live during the 1940s – not easy, but interesting.
8 July 2011, 15:21
What lovely rings! If I could choose any time period to live in, it would be Ancient Egypt, in the Middle Kingdom, 17th dynasty. Of course, I would want to live as a princess or queen, not as an unfortunate field or mud worker! :)
8 July 2011, 15:35
1930s Stylish clothes, romance and glamour for me. The rings are absolutely fab such beautiful colours
8 July 2011, 15:45
I would go to the past… live in the days when our ancestors lived off the land. Covered wagons, buffalo, open prairie as far as the eye could see. It would be hard work, but at the end of each day a person could honestly say they acomplished somthing. :)
8 July 2011, 15:50
I would have to maybe the 1930’s and 1940’s I just loved the clothes at that time
Thanks for the give away
8 July 2011, 16:06
I think I would head for the 1950s. The atmosphere of hope and post-war optimism would be amazing, and the sky was the limit. OK, and I love the style. More than a little by a bunch!
8 July 2011, 16:20
I would like to go into the future actually! I would like to see how things will be in 100 years…. will the doom and gloom stories that we hear today become reality? Will humans fix their ways towards the environment? How will the next generation handle things? etc, etc!!!
8 July 2011, 16:58
I’d love to go back to the 1920s – dancing the charleston and being a flapper girl! :o)

8 July 2011, 23:32
I would love to live in the Elizabethan era. Of course, I’d want to be sure to be one of the wealthy people like in the romantic novels I’ve read. Not the poor peasants trying to survive. LOL!
9 July 2011, 00:44

9 July 2011, 05:11
Beautiful jewellery! I’d love to have lived in the late Victorian/Edwardian era, fantastic clothes, architecture and art – but as others have said I’d have to be extremely rich, I don’t think I’d like to have been poor back then!
9 July 2011, 05:43
That’s an easy one – 60’s london starting with the Mary Quant look, have my hair cut by Vidal and move on to the Summer of Love, Isle of Wight festival with Jimmi Hendrix and all done whilst listening to Radio Caroline! Can you tell I have thought about this a lot! I also think that the ring would perfectly into my fantasy.

9 July 2011, 05:59

9 July 2011, 13:13
I would want to live right now. People need help more than ever and hopefully I can make a difference.
9 July 2011, 13:18
Definitely the 90s I was around then but I’d have liked to be in my 20s in the 90s rather than the noughties… I would have had a perm, a coke can fringe, gone to raves wearing a lollypop lady hat and dressed like hillary off fresh prince of bel air! X

Oooh, pretty! I love early 20th century fashions, but really I’d love to see Elizabethan England and the court of Elizabeth 1st. Can I take my own makeup please though, nothing lead-based?!
10 July 2011, 18:02
I think maybe this one as most of the things that make my life so awesome could not have happened even a generation ago.
10 July 2011, 18:22
I would to have been a Victorian lady so I could have spent my time elegantly dressed, sewing and crafting as they too loved to keep scrapbooks albeit different for those we have today!
11 July 2011, 18:00
I really like now, but if I had to choose another, I would choose the 50s-love the family values that were more prevalent back then.
12 July 2011, 14:35
