Scrapbooking with letters or numbers

scrapbook page

Ready to count to ten or sing your ABCs? For the next scrapbooking challenge, you get to pick your poison: numbers or letters.

Create a page with a list that includes the numbers 1 to 10 (or more) or the letters A to Z. Journal ten things you love (or ten things that really frustrate you!) or make an alphabet-themed minibook or anything else you fancy with numbers or letters.

Upload your project and leave a link in the comments on this post to enter. See this post for details and deadlines for this weekend.

One randomly selected entry will win a copy of Time to Scrapbook, which features the layout above and tips for finding time from each of the Most Influential Scrapbooker nominees.

Spell or count to your heart’s desire!

Photo challenge :: Below the knee

scrapbooking photo challenge

I have a special fondness of below-the-knee photographs — capturing a glimpse of your shoes along a journey. I even have a minibook filled with just those pictures! I think if my shoes could talk, they might have an argument about how some of them have been to more destinations to others!

Your challenge is to take and post a photograph of feet, shoes or otherwise below the knee! Put on your dancing shoes or your walking boots or photograph a baby with tiny toes.

Post your image on Flickr, on your blog or in another online photo gallery. Leave a link to it in the comments on this post to be entered.
Please see this post for all the deadlines and details about this weekend.

One randomly selected entry will win a care package of funky socks! What’s not to love?

Scrapbooking with heart

handmade card

Are you an I♥NY person or do you like NY more as a friend? And what about ♥♥♥ in general? Love using hearts on your projects or rather pass them by?

Your next crafting challenge is to create with heart — or hearts if you prefer! Use an I ♥… title or use hearts as a design element. Include at least one heart in your design of a scrapbook page, card or other crafting project. Take a picture and upload it, then share a link in the comments of this entry.

You can find all the deadlines and details for this weekend here — you have until bright and early Tuesday morning to complete your entry for all these challenges.

One randomly selected entry will win a selection of scrapbooking goodies from the Green at Heart collection by BasicGrey.

♥♥♥ to you all!

Photo challenge :: Nature

scrapbooking photo challenge

We had a manmade challenge, so it seems only right that we have a nature challenge as well.

Your challenge is to take and post a photograph of something in nature! Interpret that however you wish, be it right outside your window or deep in the woods!

Post your image on Flickr, on your blog or in another online photo gallery. Leave a link to it in the comments on this post to be entered.

One winner will be randomly chosen to win 40 Top Tips for Better Photos, an Ella ebook by Rebecca Cooper.

Please see this post for all the deadlines and details about this weekend.

Can’t wait to see your pictures of flowers, trees, insects and so forth — but please resist the urge to stick your macro lens in a wasp nest!

Scrapbooking with a sketch

scrapbook page

I promised a sketch challenge for each day — here’s Saturday’s sketch for you! You can use one or multiple photos for this design and you’re welcome to use the sketch for a paper or digital page or a card or other project.

Today’s sketch was one I jotted down in my notebook after receiving several book submissions that used this sort of balance — one small area in the corner and one larger area in the opposite corner of the page. It looked lovely in a variety of styles, themes and colour combinations.

sketch for scrapbooking

Use this sketch as the inspiration for your project then take a picture and upload it to your blog or a page gallery. Leave a link in the comments on this post. See this post for the deadlines and details for this weekend’s crop.

One randomly chosen entry will win a copy of Stretch your Sketches=, an e-book from Ella Publishing about getting more from your sketch-based scrapbooking routine!

Happy scrapping!

Scrapbooking with at least a little pink

scrapbook page

Pink is such a controversial colour at times. At first it is the colour for all things baby girl, then that can go so over the top that even the girliest of girls can turn against the colour pink. And what on earth the poor pink ever do? I think I’ll have to keep doing my part for the promotion of pink… Like your next challenge!

Your challenge is to create a scrapbook page, card or another project using pink! Use a little pink, a lot of pink, pink on something obvious or pink where it’s unexpected.

Post your project on your blog or an online gallery and leave a link in the comments on this post. One randomly chosen entry will win a prize pack of pink scrapbooking supplies!

Photo challenge :: Up above

scrapbooking photo challenge

What will the sky hold for your neighbourhood today? Yesterday was a confusing mix in our part of the world – alternating beautiful blue skies and absolute downpours of grey all day, like the sky couldn’t come to an agreement. Maybe today will be safer for taking a camera perhaps!

Your photo challenge is to take a photo of the sky. How you do that is entirely up to you – clouds and birds might appear or you might prefer the meteor shower!

Upload your photo to your blog or an online gallery and leave a link in the comments below. One randomly chosen entry will win a prize pack of photo papers (winner can specify their preferred brand so it will be a good match for your printer).

I’ll cross my fingers that the sky is beautiful but camera-safe for you!
