Scrapbooking giveaway day
If you love scrapbooking sketches or online classes, this weekend’s giveaway is for you: Kelly Purkey’s Sketchbook 3 class. Kelly has created fifty sketches to share in this four week class, and I’m thrilled to be one of the guest artists. You can read all about the class on Kelly’s blog. One commenter will win a place in the class, which starts Monday.

What a great giveaway! I love sketches and like to play with them! What made me happy? I scraplift a layout by YOU, Shimelle, and it was a patterned paper I would never have thought I would use!

One of my layouts was voted ‘People’s Choice’ winner at a creative weekend hosted by a local store. I had never entered a competition before – happiness eventually overcame the shock!

What makes me happy? Knowing my mum has finally had her hip replacement operation and is making a good recovery. It’s been a long time coming.

I love using sketches—use them all of the time. Something that made me happy recently is getting started on my son’s (27 years old now)school scrapbook finally. So much fun looking back on all the fun memories and cute photos.

I know several people have already said this, but it’s really hard to be sad with Spring in the air. The season is such a breathe of life after the cold dull winter. Today I see blooming crocus and temperatures around 70. That is enough to make another happy.

Brilliant prize Shimelle. I was really happy today. Not only did i see my Mum on mother’s day but it was her 79th birthday too. Had lunch with her, my Dad and sisters. Saw 4 of my grandchildren today as well as my kids. Blissful day of memories and plenty of photos to scrapbook.

So many things on this Mother’s Day. Oddly, the best was looking out of the window seeing that the children had helped to chalk “Happy Mother’s Day” on the pavement between the trees so it was visible only when I looked out to see them.
