Starting some wedding scrapbook pages

Starting some wedding scrapbook pages
wedding scrapbook page Supplies: Dotted Swiss cardstock by Bazzill Basics, patterned papers from Echo Park and the new Cosmo Cricket Togetherness collection, die cut by My Mind’s Eye, Thickers letters and pearl brads by American Crafts and labels by October Afternoon.

Here’s a little start to the wedding scrapping for September! One pink and green wedding and another in yellow and grey, so I’ve stocked up on cardstock and patterned papers to match, of course!

Wearing yellow for this wedding had its own little story. Pretty shortly after Tami asked me to be a bridesmaid, she asked what colours I would or wouldn’t want to wear. I figured my vote didn’t matter really – that’s the bride’s vote! But I said something like ‘oh, I don’t mind — I just don’t usually wear yellow, but I’m fine with whatever.’ Of course a few weeks later she chose yellow! Darn the power of suggestion!

She let each of us choose our own yellow dress, so we had three very different styles. One breezy and summery, one dressy and tailored and for me, something vintage. I didn’t even go looking for this dress particularly. All I remember is looking up something on ebay and the next thing I knew, vintage yellow dress was in the search box. I’m not sure how that happened at all!

So I don’t usually wear yellow, but this one I like! Do you have colours you don’t usually wear? Just curious!

Now if I don’t get the snaps from Laura’s wedding uploaded, I’ll be in trouble. Better get on to that!

I don’t normally wear pink even though I’ve started to really like it lately.

Shimelle, you look lovely in yellow. So summery and fresh. Reminds me of long, hot summers (of which the UK hasn’t had in ages)

My favourite colour is yellow & as a child everything had to e yellow, everything apart from my clothes.

From a young age I discovered it just one colour I can’t pull off.

You look stunning in your yellow dress, I am so envious!

  12. Gemma Says:

I don’t do green . . . or brown. I do love yellow tho and i wear it as often as possible ♥ yellow for bridesmaids sounds perfect to me!

  13. Lizzie Says:

I don’t like to wear black or navy next to my face – it makes me look tired (or old…hmmm). I never used to like pink and refused to wear it, but DS persuaded me to try on a gorgeous beaded cardi a couple of years ago, which was soft pink. It looked quite good and I bought it – it’s now one of my favourites. Funny how one item can change your mind!

  14. Holly Says:

You look like a very pretty bee :)
I never, ever, ever wear pink. With ginger hair it’s a little too much!

  15. Lynda B Says:

I don’t do anything yellow based, and that runs over into my crafty choices, don’t often buy orange and yellow, but give me purple, pink and polka dots and I’m a happy bunny.
And Shimelle, as I said on face book, you look good and remind me of Audrey Hepburn in these pics!

yellow is such a happy colour. You wear it well, and such a stylish dress.

  17. Sandy G Says:

I never wear yellow or orange – they make me look ill. It’s all down to your skin and hair colouring – you look lovely in yellow as you have dark hair, I’m British Mouse and look terrible in it!

  18. Sinead Says:

you look fabulous in yellow, it really suits your dark hair! I don’t really wear a lot of brown.
ps loving the new blog design:) x

  20. Carrie Says:

You look beautiful! Love your vibe too. I don’t know anyone but you who can pull off yellow like that! :)
