Glitter Girl picks a pack of patterned paper (scrapbooking video)
class content ©twopeasinabucket.com.
This week Glitter Girl takes on an adventure in picking a pack of patterned paper – something currently being discussed on the message board here at Two Peas in a Bucket. Her adventure takes her through a thoughts on choosing a less-than-obvious colour scheme from photos, picking the patterned papers and embellishments, then creating a page from start to finish.
Come along for the adventure, won’t you?
By the way, the notebook paper stamp I mention in the video is this one, and you can find all the other supplies here. (It appears Glitter Girl sometimes leaves the most important supplies off the list. Last week she forgot to list the chipboard pennants. Silly Glitter Girl!)
This week, Glitter Girl challenges you to pick a pack of patterned paper and put it to work! Then share the results in the gallery! Don’t forget to tick thebox for the Glitter Girl challenge in step four of the uploading process.
Onward, covered in glitter, my dear scrapbookers!
The Adventures of Glitter Girl is a weekly series on Two Peas in a Bucket, and goes live every Wednesday. I’ll share each adventure here shortly after that. I hope you enjoy her quests for crafting happiness, and if you ever have a scrapbooking dilemma yourself, you can always call her to action on the message board. She’s currently looking for a topic for next week. What should it be?

I watched this on Two Peas yesterday and this is one of the most informative scrapping videos for ideas, and advise for gathering supplies and then how to arrange them to create a great page. Thank you Shimelle

I don’t think I have ever watched one of your videos that I don’t come away so informed, so inspired, so ready to try something new. You are just the best at explaining how and why and then doing it in such an easy, understandable way. Thank you always for sharing.

This is the best advice I’ve ever heard or seen for how to pick patterned paper and embellishments, and for how to get them to coordinate with photos like yours. We all have those types of photos outdoors and we tend to go straight for the brown and green papers, as you said in the beginning. What a difference it makes to look for other signals that lead to a color scheme that makes the photos really stand out.
Shimelle, you’ve outdone yourself once again. This is the perfect video to lead in to your new class at Two Peas – Hitchhiker’s Guide to Scrapbooking!

Thanks Glitter Girl for another adventure in scrapbooking! It is so great how you take us from selecting papers and embellishments right through to the finished layout. By the way, your new workshop sounds wonderful!

I’m ALWAYS having problems on choosing pattern papers and I’m really inspired by this video.
I do hope you can continue to give insights on choosing pattern papers especially when the papers are on the busier side or have bigger motifs and patterns. I have an even bigger problem with those.
Thank you.

Just today I was working on a LO, thinking “how would Shimelle do this?” Thanks for showing us how you choose the paper.

Shimelle, I think your Glitter Girl layout this week is my favorite you’ve done in awhile! It’s beautiful. :)

many moons after you made this, it helped me pull together a mix of papers tonight & also try to “repeat color/pattern/item in 3 places” tip to spice up a plain LO a bit more. Thank you for the wonderful resources!!
