Scrapbooking with at least a little pink

scrapbook page

Pink is such a controversial colour at times. At first it is the colour for all things baby girl, then that can go so over the top that even the girliest of girls can turn against the colour pink. And what on earth the poor pink ever do? I think I’ll have to keep doing my part for the promotion of pink… Like your next challenge!

Your challenge is to create a scrapbook page, card or another project using pink! Use a little pink, a lot of pink, pink on something obvious or pink where it’s unexpected.

Post your project on your blog or an online gallery and leave a link in the comments on this post. One randomly chosen entry will win a prize pack of pink scrapbooking supplies!

Photo challenge :: Up above

scrapbooking photo challenge

What will the sky hold for your neighbourhood today? Yesterday was a confusing mix in our part of the world – alternating beautiful blue skies and absolute downpours of grey all day, like the sky couldn’t come to an agreement. Maybe today will be safer for taking a camera perhaps!

Your photo challenge is to take a photo of the sky. How you do that is entirely up to you – clouds and birds might appear or you might prefer the meteor shower!

Upload your photo to your blog or an online gallery and leave a link in the comments below. One randomly chosen entry will win a prize pack of photo papers (winner can specify their preferred brand so it will be a good match for your printer).

I’ll cross my fingers that the sky is beautiful but camera-safe for you!

Scrapbooking with squares

scrapbook page

Oh I know I only showed you this page last week but it is just right for our first Saturday challenge: scrap with squares!

Make a page, card or other craft project that uses squares in the design. Crop your photos into squares or create a checkered background or punch squares for a grid or a border.

Upload a picture of your project to your blog or an online gallery and leave a link in the comments here. One randomly chosen entry will win a prize pack of scrapping supplies with a square theme!

Because the best crops always have the motto be there or be square, right?

One last scrapbook challenge for Friday

scrapbook page

We haven’t mentioned journaling yet today, so here’s an easy challenge to push us in that direction. Consider yourself challenged to add your journaling around your design. Around the edge of the page or around a group of photographs or any other design element. As long as the words go around something, then you’re in the game!

Check out Glitter Adventure where Anso starts us off on this challenge!

Leave a link to your project in the comments on this post to enter for a chance to win. See deadlines and details here.

One randomly selected entry for this challenge will win a prize pack filled with paper goodness from Jenni Bowlin Studio.

I’ll be back in the morning with our second day of challenges! But feel free to stay up crafting as long as you like!

Photo challenge :: Night light

scrapbooking photo challenge

It will be dark here soon, so we have time for just one final photography challenge of the day. You’ll need to wait for some darkness in your part of the world too.

Your challenge is to take and post a photograph of a light in the dark. Interpret this however you like: a night light plugged into the wall, a candle, a sparkler or reading under a lamp… just to get you started.

You can photograph whatever you would like, but the image needs to be snapped between now and the end of the crop — this weekend’s challenges are not for older images already in your photo library.

Post your image on Flickr, on your blog or in another online photo gallery. Leave a link to it in the comments on this post to be entered.

One winner will be randomly chosen to win a selection of fonts available exclusively at Two Peas in a Bucket.

Please see this post for all the deadlines and details about this weekend.

Just don’t stay up too much past your bedtime!

Take a picture of your project and upload it to your blog or a page gallery. Leave a link in the comments on this post to enter. See this post for details and deadlines for this weekend.

One randomly chosen entry will win a prize package filled with patterned paper perfect for as many projects as you wish!

Photo challenge :: I saw the sign

scrapbooking photo challenge

Okay, apologies for getting early nineties electropop in your head. I couldn’t help it. At least I’m not challenging you to photograph yourself dancing. Not right now, anyway.

Your challenge is to take and post a photograph of one or more signs! Just one on a country lane or an overload of signs in the city – your subject matter is up to you, of course!

Post your image on Flickr, on your blog or in another online photo gallery. Leave a link to it in the comments on this post to be entered.

One winner will be randomly chosen to win a Keep Calm and Snap On print from the Keep Calm Etsy shop.

Please see this post for all the deadlines and details about this weekend.

Keep your eyes open — you never know when you’ll see a sign of good things to come!
