A scrapbook page and a song

scrapbook page ©twopeasinabucket.com

It was a little over a week ago when I was trying to see if I could remember how to scrapbook, and that layout is live now over at Two Peas. I love how these supplies wouldn’t necessarily shout vintage individually, but together they have the mood of a lovely summer’s day… maybe many years ago.

As I type this, I’ve just heard a beautiful acoustic version of Rainbow Connection come on someone’s radio, and I love that song so very much that I felt the need to share.

What song would make you delightfully happy to just hear by accident?

    Hiya Shimelle,

My favourite accident song is Madonna, True Blue. It hit the charts in 1986 when I was just 13 and just old enough to go to school discos. We all donned the outfit – lace gloves, leg warmers, leggings, loads of bangles, masses of eyeshadow etc……it brings back memories of the school disco like they were yesterday & not almost 24 years ago!!!

These days my 2 children aged 4 & 8 love it as one of Mummy’s favourite songs as we dance/clap along together.

Ahhh happy memories, happy days :)

    Have a good day
    Kat x

    I love Rainbow Connection
too. When it gets in your head it’s hard to not go around singing it. It always reminds me of you. Of course I love
Unchained Melody, it’s very special to me.

New Slang by The Shins. Funny, I was just talking about how much I love that song with a friend who randomly mentioned it in the office!
Lovely layout – really like the big photo x

My song is “Build Me Up Buttercup” – so many memories linked to it!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. That song makes me happy every time I hear it!

  6. Deborah Says:

I think it has to be Hazell Dean’s “They say it’s gonna rain” or any John Denver song … real oldies for a not that oldie.

  7. Lizzie Says:

Hmmm… I think I’d be rather delighted if someone played “Close to You” by the Carpenters. It’s a weird choice, well before my time and I have loads of more recent “favourite” songs… but if it was one of those sudden, overheard-on-someone’s-radio songs, that would really make me smile!

Like that Alice layout, Shimelle. The background paper is really quite like the backs of a deck of cards (pretty cards though!). The central photo, with little floral overlaps at the edges to frame it, is so lovely. I like seeing all these photos from SJ’s party – it just looks as if you all had such a wonderful time!

That scrapbook page is lovely, so fun and not overly girly! The song I love to hear by accident is George Harrison’s “Here comes the sun”, it ALWAYS makes me smile and it reminds me of my dad who is a huge Beatles fan :)
