I recently lost my Mom. While I was going through a box of her things I came across my Cabbage Patch doll! I remember receiving it for Christmas when I was around 4 years old. I thought it was lost.

I can’t think of a treasure I’ve found recently :( I did lose a very expensive law book & then find it again, so that was a treasure, though it would’ve been more of one to never lose it in the first place. I think I need that necklace! :)

The other day I found the perfect spring jacket in a very unexpected store, it was hanging on a rack outside when I walked past.. It’s the perfect color and thickness and style and just like I’ve been wanting for a few years :D

That necklace is adorable, and I would wear it proudly! My last treasure is a picture of my dad holding me as a newborn. Since I have very few pictures of my childhood, finding this picture is a wonderful treasure.

A treasure I found this week was a small piece of Christmas tinsel. My mom died 3 1/2 years ago and we believe that every time we find a piece of tinsel it means that Mom is sending a message. We have found tinsel in odd places at odd times of the year and always when we needed it most.

The last treasure I found was a little love note (in his own handwriting) from my son. He gave it to me when he was six. With moving from another state I thought I’d lost it!! Now I can scrap it and cherish it forever!

Most recent treasure that I’ve found? Well, I happen to be digging through my children’s old school papers and found several from both that are so sweet…about how much they love us and how “great” we are…just too sweet! I currently have a tween and a teen..nice to be reminded that at one time, they liked being around us (and I know someday that will come back again)! :) Thanks for the chance!

Three little magnetic toys that belong to my 2 year old nephew, that are part of a set, had been missing for weeks. I opened the draw of my filing cabinet and there were two of them, wedged up into the handle. I can only wonder where he put the third one?

I found a professional photo of my son, daughter, niece and nephews. It was taken about seven years ago and I put it away ‘safely’. Too safe as I couldn’t find it for ages and I wanted to scrap it alongside one taken last year by the same photographer.

We found 2 treasures. We had 4 finches and over the weekend came home to find 2 more and never realized we had babies in the hutch. What a blessing. This necklace would be perfect to celebrate new babies.

In our tiny little neighborhood we are surrounded by horses. Although I have never wanted a horse, I enjoy watching them. Imagine my surprise last week when I was admiring my neighbors’ herd and noticed something on the ground. It was a baby! One of the horses had been pregnant. Watching this little one and its mother is a great joy!

My last treasure was something I didn’t know I had…in my box of old French candy molds given to me by my French grandfather was a handwritten note tellng me how to make the little chocolate flower pots…I just stared at it and started to remember…back in the 1960’s, my grandfather poured the chocolate into the molds and my grandmother snapped on the lids…then she poked a few green florist wires through a hole in the top. Once unmolded she would make a tiny hole in a jelly bean and push it on the wire…viola…a jelly bean tree.

My found “treasure” for today is definitely my chin. Re-found it the hard way this week when I had an accident and was brought to ER with an ambulance. the doctors told me I had a good guardian angel since my jaw was still in one piece and I didn´t suffer a skull-brain-trauma. a few stitches and a swollen face against that is really no big deal, is it?

two things spring to mind – one was the confidence in myself that i had lost quite a long time ago and a very close and dear friend helped me regain – the other is a picture of my two children that I thought i had lost and shows me holding my second with my first leaning over and gently kissing her newborn sister tenderly on the forehead. Both of these are priceless to me. Love and Light all xx
