Scrapbooking with squares

scrapbook page

Oh I know I only showed you this page last week but it is just right for our first Saturday challenge: scrap with squares!

Make a page, card or other craft project that uses squares in the design. Crop your photos into squares or create a checkered background or punch squares for a grid or a border.

Upload a picture of your project to your blog or an online gallery and leave a link in the comments here. One randomly chosen entry will win a prize pack of scrapping supplies with a square theme!

Because the best crops always have the motto be there or be square, right?

I really had fun with this one and created it from scratch. I chose to keep to a minimal palette making the photos stand out.
everything here is in squares, even the fonts (well all accept the date font which is Angelina)

    subtitle round photos Bijou JL

  25. Smeepee Says:

This has kept me busy all weekend. I couldn’t find any squared paper, but then I spotted a wooden cupboard/chest in my craft room. I bought it to hold me bits and bobs, but when I saw all those wooden squares (and technically rectangles) in there, I just had to use it!! It’s not quite finished as I’m going to put my wedding photos in the blank spaces and I don’t actually have my wedding photos yet. But I’m really thrilled with it! Thanks for the inspiration Shimelle.

but I think I favor number 1. This inspires me to pick up conventional scrapbooking once more. I also like #2; I particularly appreciate the hand-drawn circle and the way everything is outlined in black.
