What would you buy with a scrapbook shopping spree?

bad girls march kit

A very simple question for you today:
If I gave you £65 or $100 to spend on scrapbooking supplies, what would you buy?

Totally guilt-free. You can’t have this money to spend on other things in life: just scrapbooking supplies. Paper or digital. Cardstock or adhesive. Ribbon or die cuts. Pick your poison: what would you buy if that shopping spree was yours for the taking?

…because later this month, it just might be. Somebody here is going to win a $100 shopping spree to Two Peas Not today, and not just by commenting, but by playing along with something fun and crafty.

Keep your eyes peeled for details…everything will be revealed here next week.

So…what’s on your wish list?

  1. sara lambert Says:

Books and papers I think! The trouble with being here in the UK is the shipping would cost as much as the shopping spree!

  2. Melanie Kiser Says:

Oh, I am a tool junkie … I think stamps. Hero Arts stamps, yeah, I love their backgrounds. And stamp material for my Cricut. I like stamps, can you tell? OR some Tim Holts distress inks … or alcohols … yeah, maybe that.

  3. Roo Says:

As much Basic Grey & October Afternoon as possible!

  4. Deborah Says:

Ooh, pretendy shopping! Almost as good as the real thing (and you don’t have to find somewhere to keep it all!) Well, there’d definitely be a doily lace-edge Martha Stewart punch in there, for that is what I currently lust after. And a fair old dollop of Cosmo Cricket goodies, because they’re scrumptious. Some of those new little Basic Grey stamps are highly desirable, and one of the gorgeous Hero Arts distress frame stamps. Oh,oh, and the Bo Bunny Clealry Stamps are fab, might as well chuck some of those in, and.. uh-oh, have probably blown the budget already, so probably should now put my hands up and step away from the basket. :-)

  5. Sandy B Says:

I need a good way to store 12×12 patterned paper-wood file cabinet?

  6. Denise Says:

I’d buy kits more than likely. I love having paper, letters, ribbon, and brads that match! I love Basic Grey & BoBunny. :)

  7. Carrie Says:

Oh fun, can’t wait to see what you’re planning!

  8. Sandy G Says:

I’d get more lovely paper to hoard and to use, some background stamps and “stuff” – all the matching brads, ribbons, fibres and charms that I’m addicted to. I’d better get some storage boxes too!

  9. Gwen L. Says:

Hmm… probably something that I’ve been dying to play with but couldn’t quite justify buying – Tim Holtz grungeboard and trinkets, paint, jewels and probably some stamps. That would be fun!

  10. Stephanie Baxter Says:

Ooooh…that sounds interesting! I’ve been lusting after the American Crafs Letterbox line for a while now, so I’d probably just buy as much of that as I could!

  11. Maria Therese Says:

I would definitively buy something Prima, and a blender for my Promarkers, And some stamps (I’ve become an addict) I’d love to buy more Marta S. Punches and papers… any brand just sweet sweet papers..can’t get enough and my pile just keeps growing!!

  12. Lizzie Says:

Oooh… I would probably buy Paper! It’s really my thing… maybe a few other craft bits, but mostly paper – especially Imaginisce, Cosmo Cricket, Basic Grey and Bella Belleza papers…

Paper to replace the stuff I just used for the Mini Book Tutorial on my blog perhaps!

What are you planning? I can’t wait!

  13. Christina Clouse Says:

    What a fantastic idea.
I think my cart at 2peas might be up that high. lol. Pity that the end of this month may be only slightly too early for some of the goodies I’ve seen being released at CHA-W. But if it were for right now? I’d pick up some 7 gypsies stamps, and some of those MS Crafts punches… probably some prima bling and some of those tulle flowers…can’t wait to hear what the crafty thing is!

  14. dawn Says:

Me … I’d invest in some embellishables. Things that I can paint and cover and play with. I have paper and inks, so I’d like something to spark my creativity. If there’s anything left over, then Stamps – one can never have too many stamps.

Bazzill in a range of colours, acrylic paints, and lots of alpha stickers. LOTS of alphas! :-)

I’d buy some pretty papers and journal label die-cuts, stickers & pads(can’t get enough of those!)Would maybe also treat myself to some nice embellishments & thickers :)

  19. Kirsten Says:

I’d buy paper. And maybe a few punches. And more paper. And some alpha stickers. And more paper.

  20. JO SOWERBY Says:

storage for all my stash, that simple and necessary!!!

  21. Michelle W. Says:

  24. Nathalie Says:

My first thought was stamps… I don’t use them that much but I love them! Then of course, I would need lots and lots of ink colors :)

  25. meanmomdigitalproductions Says:

OMG!!! Okay, I would get the pse software, I, so deseperately need to keep with all the fanastic people like yourself. If I already had software then I would rack up on commerical kits at two peas..Shimelle, Jen Marktis, Kate Teague, Sande Krieger, Betsy Tuma there are so many more than I can list

  26. Ginny Says:

I have a couple 3ring albums in my car there! I’d spend the rest on pretty cardstock that I don’t normally splurge on & embellishments!

  27. Dina Says:

Half digital, half not. I’ve gone to the edge of the digital cliff but never jumped. I really wanna do it. Non digital—I’d go with Jenni Bowlin and Little Yellow Bicycle. Digital—I’d need suggestions!

  28. kim Says:

oooh, I’m thinking clear stamps as you can never have too many of those. or maybe some fancy papers.

  30. nadine Says:

paper probably. seems like you can never have too much!

  31. Cheryl Cormier Says:

All the letter “e’s” I could find – I always run out! Fun papers, a 12×12 printer, and ribbon that has sticky peel on the back – glue on ribbon is no fun!

  35. Christine H Says:

One can never have too much patterned paper or Bazzil cardstock. I’d also try to buy up some more Kokuyo adhesive. It’s gone from the US…so sad. And I’d take a class or two.

  36. Megan Powell Says:

thickers lots and lots of alphabet thickers!! thats my poison!

  38. Maeghan M. Says:

I would buy the whole Letterbox and Blue Skies lines from American Crafts. I haven’t been able to see them at any of the LSS around me.

  39. kirsty.a Says:

My dream shopping basket would contain lots of new decorative punches. I have been lusting after your woodgrain stamp for ages so would definitely include one of those and after that…mmm…alphabets. Can’t get enough of them

  40. Sue Bone Says:

    Ooh:
Some glimmer mists, a WRMK album, some Jenni Bowlin, kraft cardstock and Jillibeans kraft stuff.

  41. heather Says:

I’d probably want lots of thickers & a couple of border punches and use the rest to make myself a bit of a kit. Can’t beat guilt free shopping!

  42. Beverly Kim Says:

    I love surprises!

  43. Lou Collins Says:

Deffo all those embellishments that I see in the shops and can’t warrant buying on my budget! Like BG buttons and brads, LOADS of swirls, pearly ones, gemmed ones and rub-ons. Oh, then of course I would have to add to my punches!
All sounds too good to be possible! X

  44. KikiK Says:

Alphas, bling,stamps,books,glue,7gypsies stickers and maybe paper. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

    I wish!

  49. Fi Says:

ooh I’d buy loads! clear stamps, TONS of october afternoon, a whole shopful of thickers and kits (for when I’m needing a quick fix), and maybe some storage, yes definitely some storage, you can never have too much storage! and glitter… and pink stuff of course, have to have some pink in there LOL xx

  51. wannabe rebel Says:

    some albums, pure and simple

  52. Dianne Nelson Says:

I’d want to buy one thing that’s totally trendy, and then spend the rest on basics or items like stamps that can be used again and again. Stamps were the first thing that came to mind. Then paper. I’d probably also want to get some of the “older” October Afternoon papers, since I have a hard time finding those locally.

  53. kate Says:

thickers. i love them and can’t justify spending the money on them. £65 worth of thickers. or the odd 3-ring album thrown in

  54. Trish Says:

I love idea books and on-line classes, so I’d begin there. The remainder would be spent on adhesives. Lots of adhesives!

I would purchase some storage solutions and some die cuts and possibly some stamps and. . . . the list goes on. LOVE it all!!!

  56. Helen Tilbury Says:

What a prize! Even though internationals would pay shipping it will still be half-price if the stash is free! Of course I have my eye on all the new releases from CHA coming soon but what I really, really need are some more of those gorgeous WRMK albums. I’m changing over from cheap post bound ones to 3 ring WRMK leather binders. Expensive {more so because I have to get them shipped to South Africa} but what is the point of beautiful pages if you can’t show them off in an easy to view album?

  57. Misty Says:

My weakness is all embellishments that are travel-related – papers, stickers, chipboard, journaling spots. Love it.

  58. Therese Angelini Says:

What a fun, fun thing to dream about :))

All things Tim Holtz would be on my wish list and I could truly use some new paper to brighten up my snowy landscape – pinks and yellows and bright blues.

    FUN! FUN! FUN!

  59. jacquisj Says:

gosh if i had any unexpected money come to me to spend just on stash it would certainly have to include some thickers as i have used all my collection on this years jyc, then some lovely stamps, lots and lots of cardstock and basic grey papers and finally a class to learn to do digital scrapping if i felt brave enough to do it!!

  60. Leslie Says:

I would love to buy some new punches along with the new Studio Calico kit!!

  61. Allycat Says:

Oooh, £65 – would have to buy some digi stuff so that they would last forever, maybe a new book for inspiration, october afternoon (really love it at the mo), bling, and a Martha Stewart Punch. Just wish you could buy time too???

  62. Catherine Aguilera Says:

I would love to apply the $100 toward a Siloette cutting tool :)
Or I would equally love to buy tons of Prima flowers, they are so beautiful but quite exspensive. What a fun question.
    Catherine

  63. Jenny Says:

Too many things! £650 would be easy, £65 I’d agonise for hours! I’d be choosing between stamps (I’m addicted recently), so many wonderful papers I want to get my hands on (especially the newest Basic Grey), Martha Stewart punches, and a really nice album – need a new one for this year. Tricky!!

  64. Kimberly L.C. Says:

I think I’d put it with some of my own money and buy the Epic 6 with the Letterpress kit. I don’t own a die-cut machine yet and the letterpress capabilities are to die for!

  65. Nancy L Says:

I love Jenni Bowlin and Hambly so I’d have to pick up some of those goodies. However, I do like my tools. I would love to get more Martha Stewart punches but for bigger ticket items, I’d get a Silhouette if I had space. Or maybe a Epic 6. Just so hard to choose. Then there are stamps….oh, it goes on.

  66. Jackie Says:

lots of thicker esp. glittery ones; K&Co & basic grey papers & matching stuff; and a toe into digital now I have access to Photoshop!

How cool! It’s gotta be bling, bling and bling – and Prima flowers – and Martha Stewart punches – and did I say bling!!

  79. Lucy :) Says:

    Hmm … £65?
My first thought was that I would buy a copy of PSE but I’m not sure I’d get that for £65 … I think I prob could :)
If not, it would be some Nestabilities or some Making Memories 3-ring albums ‘cos they are far lusher than the popular AC ones :)

  80. Rosslyn Weigelt Says:

WOw, punches, definitely, pretty paper – Jenny Bowlin, Basic Grey, sparkly things of course. Some Hero Arts stamps, and magic from Jennifer McGuire (is that available too? – just asking….actually I wish I could buy an week with a scrapping star of my choosing!)

  81. Jeanne Wynhoff Says:

Oh how fun! I would buy lots of new papers and embellishments since I haven’t shopped in awhile

  82. Catherine13 Says:

paper, paper and more paper (with maybe some journaling cards and thickers thrown in for good measure). Fancy pants, Bo Bunny, Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket….I could go on…

  83. Violet Says:

Motivated by your reasons for scrapbooking; its not so much the pretty paper I want, (although it is without doubt a bonus), energy, inspiration, self-belief and a whole pile of Maya Road Albums and Kraft envelopes are on my Wish List. I will buy everything from paper to tools and whatever I can use for my album, cards etc.

  89. dixie Says:

THICKERS. I’m obsessed. They’re the best sticker letters ever and alphabet stickers are my guilty pleasure. I’d buy two of every kind (because I always end up needing just one more E and not having it.

    That and journaling tags.

  90. Terrie Says:

Corner Chomper, ribbon, Hero Arts new cling stamps, digital kits, new distress inks, and paper… even though I don’t need any more paper. Oh, and a new Silhouette blade.

  91. Alison Jane Young Says:

Ohh, gosh, anything new, different and exciting in the scrapbook world. It could be anything from Tim Holtz, to some funky zingy fresh scrapbook papers, anything that would make my pages stand out. Ribbons, pretty buttons and details that make people go now were did you get that from?? And a decent cutting board would be nice as well. As mine got pinched!!

  92. Angela Butler Says:

Everything from Ranger. OMG distress inks, the new tim holtz dies, paint daubers, and more. I’d be in crafty heaven.

  93. Sharon Sellars Says:

Firstly, Im so excited to have found your website. One of the design team members from one of our scrapbook store here in town always does such amazingly cool things. Last time I was at a crop, I begged her for where she gets her ideas, and she said one is Ali Edwards, and I found this from that. Make any sense?

Anyways, if I was to win any amount of $; I usually try and get things that I normally wouldn’t purchase because of price, etc. (I am unable to work because of a back injury, so $ is usually limited) :(

However, you must know I am totally addicted (in the highest form) to paper. Not very often that I go into any kind of store with paper and not buy some. My craft room really shows that :)

I am from Canada, hello to all you scrappers out there :)
