Scrapbooking with your choice of a sketch
Since working more in video and more in series format over the past two years, it’s amazed me how the totals add up. Sure, the Glitter Girl playlist is pretty long, but that’s a series that averages a half hour and comes out every single week. Sketch to Scrapbook Page is a little more here and there, but even so, there are forty-four videos and to watch all of them would take more than ten hours! I don’t suggest doing that all at once, if only because I fear for the part of your brain that has to register the same pitch of my voice and the same well-worn phrases for quite so long!
But this little challenge comes in two parts: something for you and something for me. The playlist above lets you scroll through to get to all forty-four different videos in the series (you can also find that in a list format here. They are listed in date order, with the newest first and oldest last.
The part of the challenge that’s for you: choose any sketch from that list and use it as the inspiration for your own page. Share what you make below!
The part of the challenge that’s for me: in the comments on this post, vote for which sketch you’d like me to try again with the August Best of Both Worlds kit. You vote today, I’ll film it tomorrow, and it will be the final post at the end of the weekend! So take your pick, and I’ll cross my fingers you vote for one I really love!
More challenges, videos, and new layouts coming up all day Sunday! Happy scrapping.

I’m pretty sure I have seen each and every minute of video you have ever posted. And many of them several times. Do I have a problem??? I have gotten lots of inspiration! Thanks for all the great vids! Keep ‘em comin’!
3 August 2013, 18:54
That’s a lot of sketches to look back through! My personal favourite is #22, date 30/05/13 and I’d love to see you try that again!
3 August 2013, 19:20
I have several favorites but if I can only say one, I’ll go with sketch 10 on the list.
3 August 2013, 19:40
I have seen almost all of them and would like to see you do the JBS Summer Games one again! Maybe with 4×6 photos if possible.
On a side note I just received your new Nailed It stamp set today and LOVE it. Already used the seriously? one :)
3 August 2013, 19:42
i’d have to say #10 as well. i’ve already made 2 very different layouts with this and would love to see you give it another go!
3 August 2013, 19:53
I would like to see #30. Thanks for this weekend of scrapbooking!!
3 August 2013, 20:04
Wow! That is a lot of video! ThANKS!!! I am torn between #13 (Talk Amongst Yourself) #22 (Olympic Wildflowers) Funny: #10 Busy Busy is one I wrote down too. Now to decide: #22 is my favorite for the ability to make it interactive. I vote for #22
3 August 2013, 20:20
I am choosing #44- an oldie but a goodie- it would be interesting to see what you’d do with those circles now!
3 August 2013, 20:27
I vote for magical architecture. It’s my all time favorite sketch to scrapbook video, mostly because of the Harry Potter pictures :) but I also really love the page of course. I would love to see how the page turns out because it’s a very simple page. I think number 10, busy busy would be my second choice. Which is funny because I think I really like that one also because of the theme and photos. Anyway, I’m really looking foreword to the video :)
3 August 2013, 20:38
Hmm…this was a difficult choice, but I think I’m going to vote for the sketch from 30 November 2011. :)
3 August 2013, 20:43
I’ll go with #44 as well. Love all those embellished circles. Although for some reason my attention also kept going back to #32. But I’ll stick with my answer of #44. So many to choose from!
3 August 2013, 20:44
I love all your sketches but I would like to see you do #20. Thanks for all your hard work.
3 August 2013, 20:54
I think I’ve seen all these videos too. Loved each one! My vote is for #26 – the JBS Summer Games one. I’d love to see what you come up with now using a tennis court plan as a sketch! :) yes, I’m a little bit evil that way. but hey, you wanted a challenge, right? :)
3 August 2013, 21:46
Thanks Shimelle for a great scrap booking weekend. I would like you to do the Girls Weekend sketch again. Love those 4X6 landscape photos!
3 August 2013, 22:26
I like all of your sketches — I just went to Pinterest to see which ones I’ve pinned as a shortcut to finding one. :) I like #15.
3 August 2013, 22:53
i vote for sketch #20, which is a new take on quadrants
3 August 2013, 23:19
All your pages are pretty fantastic and it’s interesting to see that so many people want different ones! I’d love to see number 36 again as I’m interested to see the one photo layout with a central photo. Thanks for all your work :)
3 August 2013, 23:39
I’ve also watched all your videos and can’t get enough of them. My fav is #10 Busy Busy. It’s just so quick and simplistic but can be embellished more heavily if desired.
3 August 2013, 23:53
I love all of them too but for a vote I’ll say #20 Tourist HQ.
4 August 2013, 00:31
Number 7 OR Number 28. At a push I’d choose number 7
4 August 2013, 00:57
Talk amongst yourself and Definitely Disney are two of my top picks
4 August 2013, 01:16
I cant decide between #14 & #17. I am sure I will enjoy whichever one wins!
4 August 2013, 03:56
I would like to see you take on the sketch from 03.08.11 again. Have fun! :-)
4 August 2013, 04:20
Dance all summer long, sorry don’t know the number
4 August 2013, 04:22
Olympic wildflowers please.
4 August 2013, 05:52
I’d love to see #34 again from 21.09.11 – I’ve used this sketch over and over. It would be great to see an updated interpretation of that sketch 2 years on!
That being said, I love them all and will be pleased with whichever sketch you choose!
4 August 2013, 06:43
I vote for sketch #44. I love those pinked circles and would love to see you do that one again.
4 August 2013, 07:01
Definitely number 44 please! I have used your ideas to create stand alone embellishments for my pages and keep this video bookmarked to refer back to. Thanks.
4 August 2013, 08:21
Oh my, trying to narrow it down to one ??? So I just went back over this year’s for a start and I pick No. 20. A nice classic sketch with a twist :)
4 August 2013, 08:40
Love all the videos! I would like to see you try the one from 8-31-11—wedding week.
4 August 2013, 08:58
I like all your videos but 20 and 25 are ones I use over and over again.
4 August 2013, 09:45
I’ve watched them over and over and always look to them for inspiration when I’m stuck.
Thanks again for this wonderful weekend of scrapfun!
4 August 2013, 09:48
I tried to narrow my choice down to one, but I couldn’t. Even choosing two was difficult.
My two favorites(but not my only ones) are:
03.08.11 and 31.08.11
4 August 2013, 10:29
It’s so hard to choose! I think I’d have to go for ‘Busy Busy’, sketch number ten, for its versatility! I’m going to use it this evening :D Thanks so much for all the inspiration so far this weekend x
4 August 2013, 10:39
I really have a hard time choosing which sketch to use! I think I like #10 for today!
4 August 2013, 16:38
I’ d like you to have another go ata double LO, using another of Allison Davies sketches or the same one as Mekong Tour. Having linked to her blog from yours, I bought the book of travel sketches and have already done one! And it is possible with a single sheet of patterned paper! Thanks for this big catch-up w/e.
4 August 2013, 17:09
Love them all! I vote for the ‘Love Locks’ sketch, sorry forget which number video that is. Love love love your takes on scrapping one cool photo and showing off the pretty papers! Thanks!
7 August 2013, 02:16
Love all of your sketches, but especially the ones that utilize 4×6 photos, since I rarely scrap other sizes. Thanks for all of the inspiration!
8 August 2013, 01:17
I think glitter girl sketch 68 is my favourite. I love that you use so many 4×6 photos. Thanks for all the ideas, inspiration, and FUN!
10 August 2013, 18:47
Just curious which sketch won?
