Cards, printables and layered page templates

handmade card - banana frog stamps

Excited here because we have a new nephew! Watch this space for some crafty projects soon and check out the Frog Blog for his welcome card!

Two new items in my digital store today — and one is for paper scrappers! The Write It Down series will release a new journaling set every Tuesday for 2010 (that’s the plan anyway!) and the kit includes a PDF printable for super-easy use by paper scrappers — just print it out on the paper of your choice, no extra software required. The kit also includes the same designs in the right format for digital scrapbookers (JPG or PNG, depending on the kit) so one kit has everything for everybody! And the Written Down kits are just 99 cents. This week it has a 2010 theme, with cards for resolutions, goals and dreams, and the font matches the Rockabye Thickers from American Crafts just perfectly. Find Write It Down :: Resolutions here.

Plus there’s also a 99 cent digital page template too. I’ll share pages made with that later this week, and you can see a few here already!

UK girls — if you’re snowed in, why not scrap?! I think that sounds like the best plan yet.

Six looks with one digital template

digital scrapbook kit - layered page template

Happy New Year’s Eve! As it’s the end of the year, it’s time for year-in-review blog posts and scrapbook pages! And a 99 cent template to make those pages come together in a flash if you scrap digitally. To make it extra useful, here are six examples of this template in action, both for traditional year-in-review pages and a range of other scrapping opportunities. Each page uses the template with just one other digital scrapbooking kit.

Here’s the obvious year in review page. One photo from each month of 2009 snapped into the boxes on the template and one comment in the journaling for each month of the year. The papers are from the Wrap it Up kit.

The twelve boxes can also be used for just one photo. Select all those layers and merge them into one layer, then use it as a single clipping mask for a photo, and it will appear as a mosaic. Definitely easier digitally than on paper, when mosaics take ages! This page uses Rhonna’s Travel Journal Tool Kit, which is one of my very favourite digital kits.

The twelve boxes can be exchanged with one large photo for a single photo page, and the journaling and date can be switched off to leave the scroll + photo structure to the page, with plenty of room for additional embellishment to dress up a special photo. This was our best shot with the self-timer in front of the Christmas tree this year, so please excuse that we perhaps do not all have the best in smiling faces all at once! This page uses the template with the December kit from Songbird Avenue, who raise funds for a new charity each month.

Or keep the words and swap out one scroll for embellishments from a favourite digital kit. These papers and embellishments are from Brandy’s Willow Tree Kit.

Or select all the layers you want to keep and resize them all to suit a small photo in the corner of the page. The papers and embellishments are from Kate’s Love Mix kit, which works for non-valentiney things too, if you like pink. And we all know I do!

And one last page with four photos instead of one or twelve. All of the text on this page is set to overlay mode (sometimes in multiple layers so it would be enough to be visible) which works so well with Chelsea’s kits. These papers and such are from her Gray Garden kit.

The template for all these pages is available here for just 99 cents.

I hope your New Year’s Eve is happy and safe, and 2010 brings you a very fabulous year indeed!

Christmas scrapbooking in the garden

digital scrapbook page

There are new pages in the garden, including winter, Christmas and lots of two-pagers. I loved the gingerbread men and the patterns in Brandy Buffinton’s fab Homespun Holiday kit — definitely packed with good stuff that can be used again and again for new looks.

Some of my favourite pages in the garden this time are…
this gorgeous Christmas page by Jennifer Gallacher,
an amazing Advent project by Stephanie Dagan,
supercute digi page by Sheri Horton,
very cool text treatment by Kelly Purkey,
…and this sweet and happy two pager by Caroline Ikeji.
And lots more — see them all here.

And yes…it is snowing here! Just the teeniest bit, but that totally counts! Colour me excited.

October in Moutain View by Avital.

Today we’re heading home to Londontown, but while I’m on the way I wanted to share some fabulous polka-dotted projects from the Baker’s Dozen! They’ve been busy making both digital and paper scrapbook pages with the Polka Dot Paper kit, which is currently on sale for the holiday weekend (as are lots of other kits, so be sure to check it out).

Plus be sure to enter the Journal your Christmas giveaway this weekend!

And now, fab pages from the Baker’s Dozen! I have even more dotty projects to share with you, but I’m saving those for later in the week.

The sun is still shining here! The kind of days when I don’t mind getting up early to make the most of real springtime weather. The set up for the London Marathon has started—the starting line is just metres away from where we live and the village becomes insane on race day! Just packed with people. Hoping this lovely weather sticks around for Sunday so the marathon can run smoothly. I am so not a runner but I have so much respect for those who can finish a marathon. My brain can hardly fathom such a thing, and my muscles definitely don’t want to imagine it!

Loving the papers in this free digital kit this month. Just printed some out for some hybrid happiness to share with you tomorrow!
