pdf encoding

Post by new_wings » Fri Sep 16, 2011 10:34 pm

Has anyone else had encoding issues when trying to open a pdf file? Trying to find out if this is my techy insufficiencies or something up with the file.

Hiya!

There are usually two things that could be happening: either there was a problem in the downloading process and somehow the file was damaged or there is a bug in your PDF reader and it needs an update.

To make sure you have the latest copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader for PDFs, you can go here:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Adobe Acrobat Reader is free for both Mac and PC.
If you are on a Mac and prefer to use Preview (which is already installed in OS X) then run your software update settings to make sure you have the latest version.

If it was a problem downloading the file, they are all archived here on the forum so you can simply delete the corrupted file and download it again. :)

If neither of those do the trick, please let me know and include as much information as you can - like what operating system, internet browser and PDF reader you are using. Thanks! :)
love and glitter,
