Sunday with Scrapbook Inspirations

pound cake

Hopped over to Olympia on Sunday afternoon to check out the Stitch and Craft show and say hello to Rosie who runs things in Scrapbook Inspirations land.

But more importantly, to take pound cake to Rosie and the other lovelies on the Future stand at the show. Because this recipe on Smitten Kitchen was too intriguing to pass up.

It is rather yum indeed. Do try it. It’ll give your mixer a workout!

hi, i live in italy and i LOVE baking, and on this site i found so many recipes, i’m trying them all ^^
i always follow the recipe and the cupcakes taste just great, but according to my friends there’s something wrong with the icing or the frost… when it’s made with butter it tastes too much like butter o.O
maybe i’m using a wrong kind of, or i should mix it with cream (?)...
maybe that’s the actual taste but it just doesn’t match italian taste… i don’t know ^^’

i’m looking forward for your reply ^^
    (and suggestions)
